| Objective/Purpose of the Position |
| The Host is the first and last impression for guests, managing the door, reservations, and seating flow with warmth and professionalism in a fast-paced, elevated California bistro. The Host works closely with the General Manager and Assistant General Manager to manage guest flow and deliver an exceptional welcome. |
| Tasks/Responsibilities |
| Guest Experience • Warmly greet and welcome guests upon arrival and thank them upon departure. • Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating to optimize guest flow and table turns. • Communicate wait times accurately and manage the door during peak service. • Answer phones, take reservations, and respond to guest inquiries professionally. Coordination & Support • Coordinate seating with servers and management to balance sections. • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming entrance and host area. • Communicate guest needs, special requests, and concerns to management. Compliance • Follow all health, safety, and sanitation requirements and report concerns to management. |

| Preferred Experience/Minimum Qualifications |
| • California Food Handler Card preferred, or obtained within 30 days of hire. • Minimum of 3 years of guest-facing hospitality experience in a fast-paced, elevated environment. • Experience with reservation/waitlist systems (e.g., OpenTable or Resy) preferred. • Excellent communication and organizational skills. • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, elevated bistro environment with a genuine passion for food, beverage, and hospitality. |
